Ecuador’s export offer increased last year: 183 new products were shipped abroad, according to information from Pro Ecuador. The research reveals that 30 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) exported its products for the first time in 2016.
The commercialization of goods abroad has new players. In Ecuador, there are about 2 500 companies that export, according to the records of the Ecuadorian Federation of Exporters (Fedexpor). And 60% are MSMEs, added its president Daniel Legarda. Some of the national companies that now have a presence abroad are young people in the business world. Contacts abroad, participation in fairs and the support of public and private organizations are part of the strategies to internationalize. (I)
