Billy Crystal goes for His Ninth Oscar

Comedian actor, Billy Crystal will host The Oscars Awards for his ninth time. He confirmed it on his twitter account. Crystal has been the host of the awards for eight consecutive times (1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1997, 1998, 2000 and 2004).

“I am doing the Oscars so the young woman in the pharmacy will stop asking my name when I pick up my prescriptions. I am looking forward to the show.”

The swift change made by the organizers came in the wake of the departure of Brett Ratner (co organizer) and the subsequent resignation of Eddie Murphy as first host of the gala.

The Academy Awards will be held next February 26, 2012.
