The National Electoral Council (CNE for its Spanish acronym) dismissed the application of electronic voting for 2013 elections.

“We will definitely not us the electronic voting, only on a trial scale at Cuenca (Azuay) in four or ten polling stations, which is nothing,” said vice president of the CNE, Paul Salazar.

In an electronic voting topic, political actors talk about a possible “electoral fraud“, believing that the members of the CNE reflect the interests of the Government.

The former TV host, Carlos Vera, through social network Twitter, wrote: “No to automated voting with a correista CNE (correista: Current government friendly) to the core! It will be impossible to prove fraud”. (MZ)
