Bucaram Pulley has Evidence of Sessions with Correa
The son of former President Abdala Bucaram Ortiz, Abdala Bucaram Pulley, claims to have photographs of the three meetings at the Carondelet Palace that he held with President Rafael Correa and Foreign Minister Ricardo Patiño to show the agreement in which the return of his father to the country was guaranteed.
According to the legislator, at the first meeting, held in 2007, Correa said that he would give amnesty to the former presidents of Ecuador, Gustavo Noboa, Alberto Dahik, and Abdala Bucaram Ortiz.
At the second meeting, held in 2009, Bucaram Pulley would have propound to Correa the possibility that former President Bucaram come to the country to be a presidential candidate.
At the third meeting, Correa allegedly would have asked to support the candidacy of Fernando Cordero for the presidency of the National Assembly, receiving a negative response by Bucaram Pulley, as the head of state would not have met the agreements of 2007 and 2009. (MZ)
