Raul Carrion is Called to Trial for Embezzlement

This morning, the former Minister of Sports, Raul Carrion was called to trial at the National Court of Justice (CNJ), accused by the illegal contracts subdivision that is responsible for the construction of the training center and sports development Rioverde (in Esmeraldas).

Wilson Merino trial judge and member of the criminal division of the CNJ, decided to call judgment after reviewing the evidence presented by the prosecution, the second process of embezzlement that Carrión faces.

The first judgment call was made in early July, the subdivision of contracts for the construction of premium sports venues in several provinces.
