Syrian Helicopter is Struck Down in Damascus

This Monday Syrian rebels shot down a military helicopter during a heavy crossfire with regime of Bashar al-Assad in Damascus.

Activists show an amateur video claiming that the downed helicopter belonged to the government. Syrian state television confirmed that the helicopter that was taken down was from the government.

A spokesman for the local rebel force told the French news agency that the alleged downing of the helicopter was in revenge for the “Daraya massacre.” AV
