Ecuador Achive a Victory Against Bolivia
This afternoon the Atahualpa Olympic Stadium dressed in yellow for the match between Ecuador and Bolivia which culminated in victory for the home team by 1-0 for the seventh round of the Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
Both teams had a balanced game in the first 45 minutes of the match. The Ecuadorian team had more chances by attacking the right. Jefferson Montero was the most active, while Narciso Mina missed two opportunities.
Moreover, the Bolivian defense held firm each goal attempt blocked by the TRI.
In the second half, Bolivia became aggressive in its attack without losing its assembly on defense.
“The Green” in the area searched the tricolor, however the Ecuadorians were the ones who generated more danger in the area rival.
At minute 50, Paredes Jaime Ayovi got the ball coming from the center and gave a head shot. Minutes later, rival Saritama falls causing a penalty decree by referee Juan Soto.
The shot was executed by Felipe Caicedo, who easily beat the goalkeeper Hugo Suarez and made it 1-0.
