Rafael Correa Defends Delgado Pedro and Criticizes El Comercio Newspaper

On Thursday night September 13, President Rafael Correa attended the cocktail at the Hotel Quito solidarity with his cousin, chairman of the Central Bank, Pedro Delgado.

In the tribute, the president guarded the path of Delgado and severely criticized a report in the newspaper El Comercio, published on August 26 entitled “The Comptroller put his magnifying glass on the asset declarations of Delgado.”

“They have published a falsehood and must be brought to justice for this terrible falsehood,” said Correa.
