New Tensions Rise Between Syria and Turkey for the Flight Banning
After a series of clashes between Syria and Turkey, the hostile country has banned the flights in the Turkish airspace. Meanwhile the forces of the regime pressed their counter-attack against the rebels to regain territory lost in the north of the country.
Syria accused Turkey of channelling arms from Gulf Arab states to rebels troops in order to support their cause against the regime of Bashar al-Assad, including the second city of Aleppo.
The Foreign Relations minister Ahmet Davutoglu, pointed out that Ankara has already banned Syrian flights in their airspace. Ankara has taken serious measure against his southern neighbour after the Syrian bombings killed five Turkish civilians last month. AV
