“The reflection of a citizen discontent” that was shown at the February 2014 elections, political analysts say about the marches that have took place for the last three weeks in Ecuador.
One of the analysts, Simon Pachano, considers that these citizen´s demonstrations have been spontaneous and they are the ones who seek “someone” to lead them, that´s why “politicians jumped on the wave (marches).”
“I think it is a phenomenon that is saying enough!, ie your Government is ok, it has made works, but we do not want this other things, a state intervention, a Venezuelan model, oh well,” Pachano said.
Felipe Burbano de Lara states that “elections are far away” and the electoral affair is not at stake, but the actual moment of the country. A different moment that has forced to take positions on all sectors, workers, social and popular organizations and movements, mayors, cities (…),” he says.
