On August 22nd, the thirteenth edition of the QuitoFest music festival will be held with the presentation of the ten groups of rock, heavy metal, shoegaze, death metal, ska, reggae and electronic music.
Concerts will start from 10:00 in the Itchimbia park, in Quito. The event is part of the activities of the Quito Summer of Arts event, which started in various public venues in the city on July 30.
The three invited international bands will be Los Pericos (Argentina), that merge reggae and ska; A.N.I.M.A.L. (Argentina), that plays metal, and Atari Teenage Riot (Germany), who will visit the country for the first time with their own digital hardcore sounds and their lyrics about social protest.
Seven other recognized bands of the local scene will also be part of the event. A Crafts and Design Fair will also be deployed in addition to the food fair organized every year for those who want to offer their products.
