The leaders of Patriotic Society (SP), Fernando Balda and Patricio Zuquilanda, and the Concentration of People’s Forces (CFP), Walter Freire, participated yesterday in the sit-in organized by the presidential candidate of the extinct Prian, businessman Alvaro Noboa.
The demonstrators gathered at the headquarters of Banco del Litoral, (Noboa´s property), in Malecon Simon Bolivar, crowding an entire block.
From a platform installed on the site, Noboa reiterated his call to President Rafael Correa to resign his office. “In eight years, the country remains impoverished,” he said, adding that he is praying for the current “moral and economic crisis.”
Noboa’s supporters marched to the Rocafuerte Square and then headed to the Guayas Governor´s office.
