Crimes of trademark counterfeiting, copyright piracy against rights of the author, the breach of commitments of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and changes to penalties for traffic offenses were classified.
Legislator Andrés Paez seeks increased penalties for forest fires. He proposed penalties ranging from three to six years, from one to three years and 16-25 years. The proposal is that actions to prosecute these offenses must be indefeasible when these threaten the nature.
