It already has detractors. The president announced a bill to promote labor flexibility in the country. Several workers unions said that the proposal is autocratic and unconstitutional. And they ‘blame’ the business sector.
During the last weekly address broadcast from Daule, the head of state spoke to modify the conditions so with a previous agreement with employers, working hours can be reduced and employers pay wages in relation to hours worked.
“What they want is not to solve the problem of unemployment but make more precarious the working conditions. What is sought is returning, illegally, to the hours contract, which was declared unconstitutional,” said the leader of the Popular Front, Nelson Erazo (I).
