Armed Forces will have a Cyber Defense Command
The Joint Command of the Armed Forces (Comaco for its Spanish acronym) will have its own Cyber Defense Operations Command from 2015. It will cost about eight million dollars.
According to the head of Comaco, Luis Garzón, an uprising of the state”critical information,'” in which the military will intervene as part of cyber defense is done.

The Ministry of Defence, Armed Forces and international technology specialists participated on September 9 in an international seminar on cyber defense. There, Garzón said that this new unit will be composed of civilian and military personnel and will work in the Pichincha Brigade, in Machachi.
