Times Higher Education magazine released its 2023 Latin American University Ranking, which lists 14 higher education institutions in Ecuador.

The 2023 ranking includes 197 institutions in 15 countries. The one with the greatest presence is Brazil, with 65 institutions. It is followed by Colombia, with 36, and Chile, with 32.
Mexico has a presence with 24 universities, Ecuador has 14 and Peru, nine.
