Municipality Police will intervene in the closure of 21 schools in the northern sector of Guayaquil as ensured the Regional Secretariat of education.
According to Monica Franco, regional secretary of education, this measure is taken because these schools do not meet the minimum requirements to ensure quality education, while the remaining 14 are working without authorization from the Ministry of Education.
The establishments are located in housing cooperatives Monte Sinai, Balerio Estacio, Sergio Toral and surrounding areas, said Franco.
For this reason, interim education camps- with a capacity for 7,000 students- will be installed. The registration process and pre-registration for students wishing to attend educational camps will be held from Thursday March 17.
