23 of 68 Mejia high school students return to class
From 68 Mejía high school students that faced disciplinary charges for the protests of last September 18, the District Board of Dispute Resolution of the Ministry of Education ordered that 23 of them return to classes.
The Principal of the school, Jaime Torres, explained that the report submitted includes the readmission of that group, which is the number of reports advanced so far, and at least 45 more are left, which are under development and include those 15 students, who a week ago recovered their freedom and left the Provincial Detention Center after the trial.
He clarified that the 23 students are underage, and with regards to the others, he is still working on the reports, since some parents and their lawyers have not yet use their right to defense.
