Dozens of teenagers, or rather, volunteers aged 16 to 20 mostly, took part in the collection of bottled water, clothes, shoes, medicines, mattresses and even toys. Clothing formed a hill of 3 meters high.

The municipality, in charge of the donations, asked for diapers, baby formula, candles, matches, and other supplies via Twitter.

Ricardo Rosado, provincial coordinator of the Red Cross of Guayas, asked volunteers to register at the headquarters located in the Quito avenue to know their time availability and distribute them in the various collection centers. The phone number is (593) 4 2 56-0674.
There were also countless volunteers in the Abel Jimenez coliseum. Other human chains contributed to the collection of aid to classify them. Ruth Alvear, a resident of Las Acacias neighborhood, who was dedicated to separate shoes sizes for children and adults, said she was replacing her daughter, a member of a scout group because she had recently given birth.
