EcuadorNews:
The Public Water Company yesterday opened the Scada Monitoring Center or more specifically an early warning system for flood control. The infrastructure was built on the Via a la Costa highway (km 4) and will monitor the Bulubulu and Cañar systems, and the Daule-Vinces project (Daulin) in the short term.
Alexis Sanchez, the National Secretary of Water, stressed that being able to obtain water data from different systems facilitates the decision making. Carlos Viteri, the head of the Scada project, said that the system allows monitoring the flow velocity or water level, and other data, through a sensor system.
