On September 30, 2010 (30S) Ecuador had a political crisis due to a police revolt. Police members blocked roads and fired tires to protest against a labor reform proposed by the government.
Police members demanded the restitution of their rights: police bond, the years provided for promotion, among other things. One officer told the press that they were also demanding their decorations and toys for their children, things that were removed from them because of the approval of a section of the Public Service Act. That day at a national level the streets were in chaos. Ecuadorian President regarded the facts of September 30 as a “coup attempt”.
