Aguiñaga escapes from the scandal
Ecuadornews:
“I’m going to the bathroom,” whispered Justice Commission Vice-President Franklin Samaniego in the ear of Commission President Marcela Aguiñaga. And he left at the very moment when Hernán Ulloa, of the committee of judges deposed by the Judicial Council, was preparing to project the video that, according to him, definitively shows interference in the justice system. In the corridor, Samaniego met Lira Villalba, who was late, and took her with him. Aguiñaga looked around, stopped the projection of the video, took roll call and suspended the session for lack of a quorum.
The lack of a quorum is enough to suspend a session. However, Marcela Aguiñaga wanted to put some color: she said that during the session there were shouts (no one heard), the Commission was disrespected (no one remembers that episode) and Hernán Ulloa and the other dismissed judges made a fuss.
