Posted On 15 Jun 2011
The ash cloud of the Chilean volcano Puyehue has affected the south hemisphere for two days now. The air traffic controls of Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, and Australia have in some cases paralyzed their airports.
The emergency forced that the Peruvian president, Ollanta Humala travel through a ship from Montevideo to Buenos Aires. The UN secretary, Ban Ki-Moon used the same kind of transportation to reach Uruguay.
The volcanic eruption started 10 days ago this caused the cancellation of several flights in Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Brazil. Yesterday thousands of passengers in Australia had their flights delayed for the third time due to the ash cloud. (AV)
