Manuel Negrete (L), Álex Aguinaga, Mario Kempes, Just Fontaine, Luis Hernández, Luis Roberto Alves (Zague) and Emilio Butragueño.
On Tuesday, the Ecuadorian former soccer player, Alex Aguinaga, became part of the Pachuca’s Soccer Hall of Fame.
Besides him, they also incorporated Spaniard Emilio Butragueño, French Just Fontaine and Argentinean Mario Kempes.
“The sacrificed time with my children and my wife was worth it, and I love them because they understood me,” said Aguinaga after thanking his inclusion in the Hall of Fame.
Later, Aguinaga, known as “El Güero”, wore a jacket with the initials of FIFA, which certifies him as a member of the select group of immortalized players.
The Hall of Fame, which its first joining ceremony was in 2011 (Pele and Beckenbauer were among those admitted), is supported by FIFA and incorporates experienced Mexican and foreign players with at least five years of retirement.
