Alleged ETA Member is Detained in Bilbao

The National Police agents of Bilbao have detained Maialen Zuazo, who was condemned of collaborating with ETA. Zouza is now facing a seven-year sentence imposed to her by the National Hearing for her relations with the “Vizcaya Commando” that was disbanded in July of 2008, which was led by her boyfriend, Arkaitz Goikoetxea Basabe.

Zuazo, 29, was freed after fulfilling his provisional prison sentence, close to four years. She will now return to jail once the Supreme Court of Spain will ratify her sentence, which was adopted on last April 13.

Surprisingly enough the National Hearing Judge Baltasar Garzon processed her on January 14 of 2010 along with 12 members of ETA. On April of 2011 the National Hearing sentenced her to seven years in prison for her collaboration with the terrorist group. (AV)
