Alóag-Sto. Domingo route is enabled
The Alóag-Santo Domingo road, which was affected by the flooding of the Pilatón river, was enabled after the cleaning work of the track that ended yesterday afternoon.
Last night, the Communication Department of the ECU-911 reported that from 22:00 was expected to enable the passage of heavy vehicles which had to use alternate routes to mobilize since last Friday.
This route, which joins Andean region with the Coast, left open only to the passing of light cars in the hours between 06:00 and 08:00, while the repairs were made since last Saturday.
The authorities of the Prefecture of Pichincha and the Ministry of Transport and Public Works lifted the restrictions on interprovincial transportation, after yesterday morning a second lane was enabled.
It is expected that in the coming hours it could be open for the passage of all types of vehicles.
