Argentinean Syndicates Join the National Strike Against Cristina Fernandez
Posted On 21 Nov 2012
Yesterday syndicates opposing the government of Cristina Fernandez blocked the streets and roads, paralyzed air and land transportation and also detained the grain exports.
This is the first general strike in almost a decade with the purpose of demanding compensations for the workers due to the high inflation in Argentina.
The general strife began almost two weeks after hundreds of thousands of people, mainly from the middle class, who went out to the streets of the main Argentinean cities to protest against the government. The demonstrations were called through social networks.
