Ban on leaving the country for the director of Ecuador en Vivo
Ecuadornews:
Judge Paola Campaña Monday ordered the ban on leaving the country for Alfonso Pérez Serrano, the director of the Ecuador en Vivo website. Among the precautionary measures, the judge also ordered that the defendant appears in court every 30 days.
Pérez Serrano is being tried for alleged incitement to discord, when sympathizers of the presidential hopeful Guillermo Lasso concentrated on the exteriors of the National Electoral Council (CNE) to reject the results of the elections of April 1, after Lenin Moreno was declared the winner.
According to the Prosecutor´s office, during these demonstrations, Pérez would have warned to commit actions similar to those in 1912, when a mob dragged former President Eloy Alfaro through the streets of Quito and incinerated him in El Ejido park. (I)
