Barcelona SC is the Champion of the Ecuadorian People

The number one team of the Ecuadorians will receive its crown today after 14 years without victories and bad administrations. But this Sunday, December 2 of 2012, Barcelona Sporting Club will celebrate again its glory with the fans. “There are people that do not know what is to see Barcelona as a champion, today they will know,” said Antonio Noboa, president of Barcelona, during an interview with CRE radio about the coronation of the team which it did not achieved since 1997.

Today the celebration of the Ecuadorian title number fourteen starts without tickets already, the event will consist in the delivery of the trophy and medals given by the officials of the Ecuadorian Olympic Soccer Federation and the Olympic round. However, the festivities will leave the stadium in a caravan guided by an open bus that will leave the Monumental stadium to the centre of the city.

Guayaquil City Hall joins this historical soccer tribute and through a communication delivered yesterday it informed that the “yellow fans and all the country is invited to free Grand Artistic Festival, that the Mayor of Guayaquil organized (today) since 14h00, in different sectors of the city, with the purpose of celebrating the 14° victory of the soccer tournament and the coronation that Barcelona Sporting Club earned.”

Additionally for the realization of this event the members of the Ecuadorian police as well as the metropolitan officers from the City Hall will carry out security rounds during the course of the celebration and the fans caravan.

The security operative would be supported by 1469 police officers along with 560 transit officers for today’s match. Jaime Nebot, mayor of Guayaquil, announced that metropolitan officers will help the police protection work.
