Breivik’s lawyer says his client is “insane”

Posted On 26 Jul 2011

After confessing in court to be the author of the attacks in Oslo and the slaughter on the island of Utoya that caused 76 dead, Anders Behring Breivik , 32, said his intention was to “save to Norway and Europe Western invasion of Muslim, Islam and Marxism.”

Breivik’s lawyer called him “insane” and said that his client is convinced that “currently there is a war” and “there are two cells, several in Norway and abroad.” Also, the author of the attacks in Oslo and Utoya, who is in custody since yesterday, will undergo psychiatric examinations. “It has not shown any sign of sympathy,” added the lawyer.

Norway could accuse him for “crimes against humanity” and sentence him to 30 years in prison for alleged perpetrator of these attacks, considered the worst attacks in this country since the Second World War. (BG)
