The governors of Miranda, Henrique Capriles, of Lara, Henri Falcon, and of Amazonas, Liborio Guarulla, met yesterday with representatives of the Venezuelan Episcopal Conference to ask for an intervention in the university conflict.

Henrique Capriles (m), Henri Falcón (l) and Liborio Guarulla (r).
“We are here to ask the church to be the promoter of dialogue,” said Capriles, who agreed that there must be a dialogue between the parties.
“We believe that this institution, which has a broad support of our people, the church, has a call that no other sectors have in the country,” said the former presidential candidate.
