Capriles: “Maduro is destroying Chavez’ legacy”

Posted On 03 Apr 2013

The Venezuelan opposition candidate Henrique Capriles, referred to the true “Chavistas (Chavez’ followers)” with a warning that their candidate, Nicolas Maduro, “is destroying” the legacy of the late President Hugo Chavez.

“In one hundred days they are destroying 14 years (of Chavez’ government), because the truth of the size of our country is that the government candidate does not know where he stands,” said Capriles.

“You, who fought for a change years ago, who stood in the path of change, you have a historical responsibility to stop the one self-claimed as heir of Chavez of destroying all that has been conquered by Venezuelans,” he said.

Likewise, Capriles said that if Maduro wins the next elections, there will be more inflation, more shortages and more violence in Venezuela, so he recommended that Chavez supporters do not to allow the people to be manipulated.

“Here there is not not good people and bad people, here there is only good people and a few bad rulers who have no idea of how to solve a problem,” he said.
