The last survivor infected with HIV on Galo Garces’ Hemodialysis Clinic, Carlos Mora, died last Sunday of a heart attack.
After hanging out to the movies with friends, Carlitos returned home feeling chest pains. On his way to the hospital, Carlitos died of a heart attack.
“Carlitos”, 24, who in 1995 was one of the victims who were infected with HIV while undergoing dialysis at Galo Garces’ clinic in Guayaquil, became an example for society as he fought for social justice in the case of medical negligence where not only him but 20 other people were injured.
Justice could not condemn Garcés, despite the evidences of infected persons. He even continues to serve as doctor in the U.S. (BG)
