Posted On 03 Oct 2012
The National Museum of American History today unveiled a portrait of the late Cuban salsa singer Celia Cruz, consisting of photographs of her traditional headdress, the Cuban flag and the Virgin of Regla, among other characteristic elements.
The work was done by the American photographer Robert Weingarten, who described Cruz as someone with “a very strong and cheerful personality, full of life and color.” (MZ)
