COMEX released 10 raw materials of INEN
Posted On 02 Apr 2014
The Committee on trade (Comex), excluded 10 imported raw materials from the presentation of the certificate of recognition to the Ecuadorian Institute for Standardization (INEN).These materials range between condiments and seasonings (sauces and dressings), bacon without lean parts, olives, paints and food-grade varnishes based on polyesters, acrylic or vinyl.
Thus, it was determined it the resolution 010-2014, on March 21, by the COMEX.
A day earlier, after a meeting of the business sector with the Minister of production, Richard Espinosa; of Trade, Francisco Rivadeneira; and the INEN Director, Agustín Ortiz, it was reported that the Comex will meet on an ongoing basis, each fifteen days, aiming to liberalize the raw material with its customs clearance problems
Roberto Aspiazu, from the Business Committee, think that the recent resolution is positive but still insufficient. “It is a first step.”
