Correa Made a Big Deposit in Germany
The Internal Revenue Service of Ecuador (SRI) confirmed that president Rafael Correa transferred $331.082,5 dollars into an account in Germany on August 9 of 2010. The benefited person was identified with the code BE641430785741352, while the transaction cost the president the sum of $8,742,76 that corresponds to the Tax-Departure of Foreign Exchange (ISD).
Assemblymen Jorge Escala (MPD) delivered the information to the SRI, since he had requested the detailed tax payments that Correa has made. This step was made after the president received as compensation for moral damages by Banco Pichincha, and for his international transactions.
According to Marcos Lopez, the president does not abide by his words, since Correa said to the Ecuadorians to maintain their resources in the country. Escala requested to the SRI to identify the entity that received the $331 thousand to know the destiny of that money. (AV)
