Ricardo Quirola, general manager of the postal service, said that the idea is to “not only allow to survive, but to be a great support for migrants and the Exportafacil domestic producers to bring their products to many places around the world.
In addition, they expect to make the distribution of school breakfasts and induction cookers. In both cases they are in discussions with the parties involved.
During a press conference, the official explained that the postal market, internationally, declined by 20%; that includes Ecuador, where the public and private postal sector reported a drop of over 20%. In fact, “our fallen (public post), due to the reduction of the postal sector, the closing of the 4×4 service (late last year) and the electronic invoicing (which replaces statements), is close to 25%,” at the end of 2014, he said.
