Demonstrators Call Taxis For Julian Assange
Posted On 16 Aug 2012
Shortly after the Ecuadorian Foreign Ministry, Ricardo Patino, announced the agreement for diplomatic asylum for Julian Assange, several supporters of the WikiLeaks Founder called for taxis to pick up Assange at the Ecuadorian embassy in London.
Supporters of Assange hinder the work of the British police through these actions. Meanwhile unrest continues to occur in the vicinity of the Ecuadorian embassy. Protesters chanted slogans in support of Julian Assange while they struggled with the police outside the embassy.
These activists arrived promptly after Britain said it might enter the building to detain the WikiLeaks founder. Around 20 police officers are trying to push away a crowd of 15 supporters. (AV)
