Detainee´s lawyer awaits for the hearing

Prosecutor Joffre Velasco requested the Flagrancy Court to prepare the opinion and preparatory hearing for the trial of Francisco S., a haulier that has been detained 39 days for the investigation of the alleged offense of transporting explosives during a march of social organizations, on November 26.

According to John Vizueta, lawyer of the driver, the request should be addressed this week, since the body has already completed the preliminary investigation.

“It is an immediate process, and it should be addressed now, because the preliminary investigation (30 days) was completed and any element that could justify that the detainee was carrying some kind of explosive has been proven,” said the lawyer.
