Active and retired military, who make up the board of the Institute of Social Security of the Armed Forces (ISSFA), expressed their refusal to the refund of $ 38 million demanded by the Ministry of Environment for the sale of lands where the Samanes Park in Guayaquil, is actually located.
The aforementioned state portfolio, which paid 48 million for the land, argues a poor appraisal of the properties by the National Office of Appraisals and Land Registry (Dinac) that contrasts with the one of the Municipality of Guayaquil, which is 10 million dollars.
The claim of Environment comes six years after the lands were expropriated to the ISSFA, in 2010, through a ministerial decree that declared the area of 379 hectares as a National Recreation Area.
