Drug Plane could have Escaped from a Shooting in the Collection Area

According to police investigations, the area where 576 cocaine kilos were seized during the operative ‘Danubio Azul’ was the departing place of the plane that landed in the road.
The arid location is surrounded by extensive plains, bushes and weed and its located between the communities of Sube and Baja and El Azucar, in the city of Julio Moreno, Santa Elena. Last Monday (November 19) the police carried out an operative were they captured eight people and isolated a minor. Meanwhile, the Interior Minister, Jose Serrano informed that the police action took place thanks to an investigation that began during the first days of November. However, Drug agents said that in that date a preliminary investigation was opened after two months of inquiries.
During the operative a vehicle with 499 packages of cocaine in jute bags was seized, the bags were meant to be sent in a Cenica II plane, with the Ecuadorian licence plate HQ-BQF.
Last Tuesday (November 20) this same plane at 16:00 GMT on the route 62, in the Santa Elena-Guayaquil road, near the community of Villingota. A few minutes’ later the police arrived to investigate the mysterious landing. The whereabouts of its crew are unknown.
