Ecuador Proposes Reciprocal Visa Exemption to the European Union
Ecuador on Thursday asked the European Union (EU) eliminate the requirement reciprocal visa, considering that the Ecuadorian prosperity has increased in recent years and encourages the return of Ecuadorian immigrants to the country.
Likewise, Europeans increasingly travel more outside the EU to escape the current economic crisis in Europe.
Ecuador’s ambassador in Brussels, Fernando Yepez Lasso, made this request in the sixth high-level meeting on migration held today by the EU countries and the Latin American and the Caribbean Commonwealth (ECLAC) in the European capital.
Yepez asked for the elimination of tourist visas (up to 90 days). He also asked to gradually continue to provide work and students visas.
