Ecuador Received Monetary Aid From NGOs

Since 2007, Spain the United States and the European Commission have been the biggest donors to Ecuador with a sum of $ 677 million, for a total of 1894 million invested through 2010.

This money has been invested in 124 projects of social development in 2010: 64 in education, 128 in environment, and 54 in health.

Much of this investment has been channeled through nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) working in the country.

These areas of support have been defined based on the needs of the State, according to the National Development Plan.
