Ecuador records an inflation of -0.58% in June

Ecuador recorded a monthly inflation of -0.58% in June, according to the latest report from the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INEC). This is the lowest inflation in 10 years.
Inflation accumulated in the sixth month of the year, ie from January to June, reached the 0.32%, while the annual inflation (June 2016 to June 2017) reached the 0.16%.
Price variations of three of the twelve divisions explain the behavior of the CPI in June 2017: recreation and culture (-4.48%); clothing and footwear (-1.39%); and, goods and services (-1.15%).
In June, the cost of the family basket stood at $ 707.47; While the monthly family income of a four-member household with 1.6 members earning the basic salary stood $ 700; i.e. a 98.94% coverage. (I)
