The undersecretary of international organizations of Ecuador Maria Carola Íñiguez joined Bolivia and Nicaragua in rejecting the convocation of a meeting of foreign ministers today at the OAS on Venezuela and considered that “dark times” are recalled with this action.
The diplomat said that “it is worrying that they want to impose solutions” to Venezuela, something that, in her opinion, “only remembers dark times when the OAS was an instrument to impose agendas in our region.”
“We regret the call to the meeting, which violates established procedures and above all without the consent of Venezuela,” said the diplomat in her speech of six minutes (I).
