Ecuadorian Customs destroys one million cigarettes seized

The National Customs Service of Ecuador (SENAE for its Spanish acronym) today destroyed more than one million cigarette packages valued at more than 55,000 dollars, this is a control measure of the District of Quito, the agency said in a statement.
“The destruction process is backed by the Protocol for the Elimination of Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products established by in the World Health Organization Convention on Tobacco Control,” says the official statement released by the agency.
