El presidente de la Rep\u00fablica Len\u00edn Moreno rechaz\u00f3\u00a0tener cuentas o empresas offshore a nombre suyo, de familiares, amigos o conocidos y neg\u00f3\u00a0la compra de un departamento en Europa,\u00a0en su mensaje a la naci\u00f3n la noche del martes 26 de febrero de 2019,\u00a0tras los rumores que circularon en redes sociales en d\u00edas recientes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

En cadena se\u00f1al\u00f3 de modo indirecto al exmandatario Rafael Correa\u00a0de ser quien est\u00e1 detr\u00e1s de las acusaciones. Soy Len\u00edn Moreno y esta es mi declaraci\u00f3n juramentada: estas son mis cuentas bancarias y este es mi certificado de no tener cuentas offshore\u009d<\/strong>, manifest\u00f3, mientras mostraba los documentos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nPresident of the Republic Lenin Moreno denied having accounts or offshore\ncompanies on his behalf, relatives, friends or acquaintances and denied the\npurchase of an apartment in Europe, in his message to the nation on the night\nof Tuesday, February 26, 2019, after the rumors that circulated in social\nnetworks in recent days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a\nbroadcast, he indirectly pointed out former President Rafael Correa to be the\none behind the accusations. “I’m Lenin Moreno and this is my sworn\nstatement: these are my bank accounts and this is my certificate of not having\noffshore accounts,” he said, as he showed the documents. He added that he\ndoes not have and has not had departments outside the country, “because it\nis not in my plans to flee, here is my family, my grandchildren …”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nHead of State added that when the Presidency ends, he will stay in the country\nand look at everyone in the face and will continue to receive affection and\neven criticism. “I do not need an attic in Europe to be happy. I do not\nhave shares in companies or participation in my brothers’ businesses, I do not\nhave accounts or offshore companies, “added the Head of State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He\nalso briefly outlined the period in which he was as special envoy of the United\nNations and how he completed his work. “Like any diplomat who has in the\ncountry that resides temporarily, I had some bank accounts in Switzerland,\nwhile I worked as a special envoy,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once\nhis mission was completed, Moreno assured that he closed them by regulation and\nhanded in his accounting report, both to the Foreign Ministry and to the then\nSecretary General of the UN, Ban Ki Moon. Said this added: “Everything is\norganized deliberately, within a strategy of destabilization of the country,\nengineered by a fugitive former president, causing the greatest moral, economic\nand social debacle that Ecuador has experienced.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And he\nconsidered as paradoxical the fact that the former president does have a\ndepartment in Europe, brothers who had dealings with the State, accusations of\nkidnapping and harassment, as well as influence peddling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He\neven maintained that the former president faces more than 500 denunciations of\ncorruption and waste. He brought up the plot of Odebrecht and other cases that\nwere recorded when he was at the head of the nation, as “the pativideos,\nthe narcovalija, the minister comecheques\u009d and bribes considered as agreements\nbetween private.” Faced with this situation, the President affirmed that\nthey have not scared him or that they are going to achieve it and that they can\nno longer deceive the honest people of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In\nthat sense, he urged him and those who “lend themselves to play the\ngame” to support his actions and assertions in the judicial field, but not\nto continue “with the gossip in networks and media”, which he called\n“data and scribbles facts for scandal and deception. “<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He\nadded that people who believe they have any accusatory or evidentiary element,\nmust present it in a sustained form before the pertinent authorities. Una vez que culmin\u00f3 su misi\u00f3n,\u00a0Moreno asegur\u00f3 que las cerr\u00f3 reglamentariamente y entreg\u00f3 su informe contable, tanto a la Canciller\u00eda, como al entonces secretario general de la ONU, Ban Ki Moon.\u00a0 Dicho esto agreg\u00f3: Todo est\u00e1 organizado premeditadamente, dentro de una estrategia de desestabilizaci\u00f3n del pa\u00eds, maquinada por un expresidente pr\u00f3fugo, causante de la mayor debacle moral, econ\u00f3mica y social que haya vivido Ecuador\u009d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Y consider\u00f3 como parad\u00f3jico el hecho de que el expresidente en cuesti\u00f3n\u00a0s\u00ed tiene un departamento en Europa,\u00a0hermanos que tuvieron negocios con el Estado, acusaciones de secuestro y acoso, as\u00ed como de tr\u00e1fico de influencias. Incluso sostuvo que el exmandatario enfrenta m\u00e1s de 500 denuncias de corrupci\u00f3n y despilfarro. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trajo a colaci\u00f3n la trama de Odebrecht y\u00a0otros casos que se registraron cuando estuvo al frente de la naci\u00f3n, como los pativideos, la narcovalija, el ministro comecheques\u00a0y las coimas consideradas como acuerdos entre privados\u009d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ante esta situaci\u00f3n, el Presidente afirm\u00f3 que no lo han amedrentado ni lo van a lograr y que ya no pueden enga\u00f1ar a la gente honesta del pa\u00eds. En ese sentido lo conmin\u00f3 y a quienes se presten para hacerle el juego\u009d a sustentar sus actuaciones y aseveraciones en el campo judicial, pero no seguir con la vocingler\u00eda en redes y medios de comunicaci\u00f3n\u009d, a lo que llam\u00f3 como datos y garabatos hechos para el esc\u00e1ndalo y el enga\u00f1o\u009d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A\u00f1adi\u00f3 que las personas que crean tener alg\u00fan elemento acusatorio o probatorio, deben presentarlo en forma sustentada ante las autoridades pertinentes. Asimismo, que todas las autoridades que tengan competencia para actuar en estos asuntos lo hagan.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
