EU Will Not Help Ecuador in 2014

The European Commission decided this Wednesday 07 of December to end in 2014 their help for the development of 19 upcoming countries. Eleven of those countries are from Latin America; among those are Ecuador, Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela and Colombia.

Andris Piebalgs, an European Commissioner for Development explained that the new European budget (2014-2020) would focus on helping countries that are really poor. However, Piebalgs added that even if the EU stops helping it will continue to cooperate with countries that need help. (AV)
