Experienced politicians will be the ‘voice’ of the PSC in the Legislature

The Social Christian Party (PSC) will bet on three leaders with political and legislative experience to push its agenda in the new Legislative period, in which the party promises to be “the motor of the opposition.”
Luis Fernando Torres, a re-elected Legislator who represents the Tungurahua province, former congressman and former mayor of Ambato, will be proposed before Parliament as one of the members of the Legislative Council of Administration (CAL).
Henry Cucalon, a reelected Legislator representing the Guayas province and former City Secretary, was chosen by the group as block coordinator. And Carlos Falquez Batallas, a Legislator of El Oro province, and former mayor of Machala and former congressman was appointed as the head of the block.
The PSC yesterday defined the names during a meeting attended by the fifteen legislators of the party elected during the February elections: the ally of the Conservative Movement of Carchi Javier Cadena, Mayor Jaime Nebot, and former presidential hopeful Cynthia Viteri.
The meeting, held secretly in Guayaquil, was later opened to the press to announce the final decision.
