Four hearings at the IACHR

The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (CIDH) has today four public hearings requested by groups of human rights defenders of Ecuador.

In two of the hearings general situations will be analyze: the alleged criminalization of defenders of nature and the implementation of the conclusions of the Truth Commission that investigated alleged human rights violations between 1984 and 2008.

In the others, the status of two pending cases in the IACHR: No. 12,979, which refers to the slaughter of indigenous peoples in voluntary isolation; and No. 12,678 on the rape to minor Paola G.
